YouTube to notes, with a timestamp on every line
Most video summaries give you a paragraph and no way to check it. A BlogPen note keeps the place each line came from, so a claim you want to reuse is one click away from the second it was said.
The note is also the starting point for everything else: the Blog, Excel, PPT, Word, Chart, Notion and Diagram outputs all read from it, so you check the facts once.

TL;DR from the note
- Webb’s large mirror and cold observations will help reveal the universe’s earliest history and what distant objects are made of.2:29
- Webb will investigate how early galaxies acquired black holes and study the atmospheres of planets around other stars for clues related to life.3:24
- Technology developed for Webb has practical benefits on Earth, and the telescope is set to launch from French Guiana on an Ariane 5.4:05

Webb and Spectrographs0:06
- Webb is described as the next Hubble, whose observations transformed our understanding of the sky.0:31
- Spectrographs split light so astronomers can study its composition and origin.1:08
- Spectrographs have helped astronomers study the universe’s expansion, including through observations of galaxy redshift.1:39
- Webb will collect light from very early in the universe’s history to help reveal what things are made of and how they move.1:52
Webb’s Scientific Discoveries2:03
- Webb’s large mirror and cold-light observations let scientists look back to the universe’s earliest eras.2:25
- Use Webb to investigate whether early galaxies already had black holes and how those black holes formed.3:15
- Webb can examine the atmospheric composition of planets around other stars, including molecules relevant to life.3:39

Written by BlogPen (note:v1) on 2026-11-05 and shown unedited. Times open the video at that second.
What you get
- A one-line title that fits a sidebar row
- A TL;DR of up to three sentences, each pinned to a moment
- Four to six key moments with the speaker's exact quote
- One section per stretch of the video, three to eight in all, with up to four points each
- Times taken from the transcript, never guessed by the model
How it works
- Paste a YouTube link into BlogPen on the home page.
- BlogPen reads the captions, plans sections where the topic shifts, and writes each one against its own stretch of transcript.
- Open the note, click any time to play that moment beside it, and keep or cut what you need.
Good to know
Where do the timestamps come from?
Every point carries a short quote from the transcript. BlogPen finds that quote in the captions and uses the caption's start time. A point whose quote is not in that part of the transcript is dropped.
Does it work on lectures and interviews?
Yes. Long talks get more sections, up to eight, at the places where the topic changes. The video needs captions or, on a paid plan, AI transcription.
What does a note cost?
Your first note is free for a video up to 30 minutes with captions. On a plan, one note uses one conversion.
